Line Cook
About the Role
We're looking for a reliable line cook to join The Bubbler VR kitchen team. You'll be working a fryer, flat-top grill, and handling basic prep to keep our guests fueled while they game. No culinary degree needed, just solid skills, a clean station, and the ability to handle a rush. We operate Thursday through Sunday.
The Bubbler VR is Providence's premier VR arcade and entertainment venue. We pair immersive virtual reality experiences with seriously good food: smashburgers, loaded fries, cheese-injected tenders, and more.
Our kitchen is fast-paced, fun, and feeds a crowd that's here to have a great time. If you want to cook in a place that's anything but boring, this is it.
What You'll Be Cooking

Between the Buns
Single or Double All Beef Patty with Lettuce, Tomato, Grilled Onion, Pickle & our signature Bubbler Sauce.
Crispy Chicken Tenderloin Breast spiced with a special mesquite blend & topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle & Bubbler Sauce.
Crispy Chicken Tenderloin Breast dipped in Spicy Nashville Sauce, topped with signature Coleslaw & Pickles.
No Bun Intended
Jumbo Chicken Tenders injected with melted cheese for an oozy, flavor-packed bite, tossed or served with your choice of Sauce.
Jumbo Boneless Wings either tossed or served with your choice of Sauce.
Crispy Potato Fries or Crunchy Tater Tots seasoned to perfection.
Loaded
Fries or Tots topped with Cheese Sauce, Grilled Onions, Jalapenos & Beef Bacon.
Fries or Tots topped with Nashville Chicken, Coleslaw, Pickles & Buttermilk Ranch.
Fries or Tots topped with 2 Chopped All Beef Patties, Cheat Code Sauce, Cheese & Grilled Onions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working a fryer and flat-top grill (even fast food or diner experience counts)
- Reliable and consistent. Showing up on time matters more than fancy skills
- Must have a Food Handler Card or be willing to get one within 30 days of hire
- Comfortable working solo or with minimal supervision
- Good attitude about cleanliness and food safety
- Able to stay calm and efficient during a rush
What You Get
About the RI Food Handler Card
Every employee who prepares or serves food in Rhode Island must get their Food Handler Card within 30 days of being hired. It's quick and easy:
- •Online course and test, takes about 1-2 hours
- •Cost: $7 - $15 (RI law caps it at $15)
- •Need a 70% or higher on the test to pass
- •We pay for it. It's on us
